Brainostalgic (Day 2)

Why to solve a puzzle?
Solving of puzzles is interesting, as these contain that extra thing required to think beyond the traditional approach of solving the mathematics, science, logical and other reasoning problems. Let us start with a simple puzzle. Hope you will be able to answer it well. Please do solve it and share your answer in the comments section.

Puzzle
A carpenter has a cuboid shaped block of wood. Its size was 2 feet x 1 feet x 3 feet. He painted the block with his favorite blue color. Later, he cut the wooden block into pieces of size 1cm x 1cm x 1 cm cubes. Can you tell the number of total cubes? How many such cubes have blue color on one face? How many have blue color on two faces? and how many have three faces of blue color paint on them?

Hint: Each cube/cuboid has 6 faces. Blocks may contain color on 1/2/3 faces only.
NOTE: Do not forget to convert feet into cm to have the total small blocks.

  1. Converting to CMS, and rounding off using floor function, dimensions are 30,60 and 91

Thus, total cubes of 1cm edge will be 163800

    3 faces blue: 8
    2 faces blue: 700
    1 face blue: 9278
